New Castle Self Directed Services Receptionist/Administrative Representative

Location: 61 Corporate Circle, New Castle, DE 19720

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland's Eastern Shore is seeking a detail-oriented, organized team player with strong administrative and customer service skills who is passionate about making a positive impact. The Self-Directed Services Receptionist/Administrative Representative serves as the first point of contact for inquiries about all Self-Directed Services (SDS) programs. This position provides information on how to access services, supports adult and pediatric camp services, and performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience operating a multi-line phone system or switchboard.
  • At least 3-5 years of clerical or administrative support experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.


Job Duties include but not limited to:

  • Screen, direct, and transfer calls efficiently, minimizing hold times.
  • Retrieve and respond to voicemail messages throughout the workday.
  • Provide accurate information and direct callers to the appropriate Self-Directed Services (SDS) staff member.
  • Vet new camp providers and obtain all required documentation.
  • Monitor and track camp licenses, ensuring required documentation remains current and identifying upcoming expirations.
  • Process all mail and packages assuring accuracy of distribution.
  • Assist with other administrative duties as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual skills preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of individuals with disabilities.
  • Familiarity with community resources, programs, and referral services.
  • Understanding of Easterseals' mission, vision, and communication standards.
  • Ability to comply with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Commitment to maintaining health, safety, security, and confidentiality standards.


This is a full-time, in office, 40-hour a week position with daytime hours Monday- Friday 8am-4pm. The salary range for this role is based on experience in the field.
