Are you a seasoned Automated Test Engineer who takes pride in building robust test frameworks, catching defects before they reach production, and embedding quality at every stage of the software delivery lifecycle? We are looking for a technically sharp, detail-oriented professional ready to lead software quality assurance and test automation efforts in direct support of mission-critical government applications and enterprise systems. WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Automated Test Engineer, you will serve as the quality gatekeeper for complex, high-stakes software systems — designing and maintaining automated test frameworks, integrating testing seamlessly into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines, and driving comprehensive validation and verification activities from development through production readiness. You will work hand-in-hand with software developers, DevSecOps engineers, and systems engineers across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring that every release meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security. From API and database testing to end-to-end application validation and performance load testing, your work will be foundational to the integrity and mission success of enterprise systems supporting a high-profile government customer. Required Qualifications:
- Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FS Poly) required
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: Demonstrated senior-level experience developing automated testing frameworks and leading software quality assurance efforts
Required Technical Skills:
- Test Automation Frameworks: Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, and/or JUnit
- API & Integration Testing: Hands-on experience performing API validation and integration testing using Postman, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs across enterprise systems
- CI/CD Integration: Demonstrated ability to integrate automated testing activities into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and/or GitLab within DevSecOps environments
- Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages including Python, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, and/or Bash for test development and automation
- Database Testing: Experience performing database and data validation testing using SQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Oracle
- Performance & Load Testing: Hands-on experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter and/or LoadRunner, including performance monitoring and analysis
- Software QA Methodologies: Deep understanding of software quality assurance best practices, including functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing
- Agile Development: Experience operating effectively within Agile software development environments and supporting sprint-based delivery cycles
- Defect Management: Ability to identify, document, track, and drive resolution of software defects through the full defect lifecycle
- Test Documentation: Skilled at developing test plans, test cases, test data, testing procedures, quality metrics, and validation documentation to support verification and production readiness activities NICE TO HAVE
Preferred Qualifications:
- IC / DoD Program Experience: Prior experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense programs — a strong differentiator for this role
- Cloud-Based Testing: Experience designing and executing tests within cloud-based environments, particularly AWS
- Microservices & Containers: Experience testing microservices-based and containerized applications in complex enterprise environments
