Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead ETL/Data Warehouse QA Analyst for a hybrid position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire opportunity.
Work Locations: Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; or Minneapolis, MN
Compensation: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour, W2

Position Overview:
In this role, you will be part of a team developing solutions that enable the business to leverage data as an asset across the organization. As a QA Test Automation Lead, you will develop automation test strategies and frameworks while ensuring all IT SDLC processes are documented and followed. This role works closely with multiple technology teams across the enterprise using key technologies such as Azure DevOps, Python, AWS S3, Snowflake, Zena, and DataStage.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality assurance efforts for multiple concurrent projects focused on data ingestion and integration, ensuring alignment with banking regulatory standards
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable and secure data operations
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering System Integration Testing (SIT) and partner closely with the team for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, project managers, and compliance teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and traceability throughout the ingestion lifecycle
  • Drive continuous improvement in QA processes
  • Design and implement a scalable test automation framework and strategy
  • Create daily and weekly test execution metrics and status reporting
  • Assist Project Managers and Scrum Masters in driving the project team toward defect resolution
  • Leverage existing tools and techniques to streamline and automate wherever possible
  • Actively participate in walk-throughs, inspections, reviews, and user group meetings for quality assurance
  • Actively participate in the review of project requirements, data mappings, and technical design specifications
  • Analyze data, troubleshoot data issues, and create action plans to address data quality issues
  • Collaborate with the project team on defect analysis and triage
  • Participate in production implementation verification and be accountable for validating system quality

Primary Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of ETL testing experience in a data warehouse environment
  • 3+ years of test automation experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Snowflake and AWS
  • 2+ years of experience leading QA Analysts on a project team

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in the financial services or banking industry
  • Strong experience with SQL, ETL testing, and data warehouse concepts, such as star/snowflake schema and OLAP
  • Proficiency with test automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, PyTest, or DBT tests
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and AWS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, including Azure DevOps
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated, with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
