Job description

RCT Systems is seeking a Senior Software QA/Application Tester to support multiple software applications ranging from legacy systems to emerging technologies. The role focuses primarily on developing automated tests while also performing manual testing when needed. You'll collaborate closely with developers and may assist with performance/load testing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Perform manual testing when automation is not practical.
  • Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, procedures, and test scenarios.
  • Validate application data using SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Analyze requirements, identify edge cases, and engineer thorough test coverage.
  • Support performance/load testing using tools like JMeter.
  • Maintain test environments and ensure QA processes follow industry best practices.
  • Work in Linux environments using Bash, vi, and related tools.

Required Skills:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required on day one.
  • Strong automation development experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver (not just record-and-playback tools).
  • Experience writing SQL queries for database validation.
  • Proficiency with IDEs such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, or NetBeans.
