RiteChoice Rx is expanding! We are currently accepting applications for Pharmacy Technicians to join our team at our new pharmacy location opening in Fall 2026. Candidates selected for this role will be considered for employment as we prepare for the launch of our newest site.

RiteChoice Rx is a fast-growing independent 340B pharmacy that partners with community health centers and healthcare providers throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide fast, friendly, and affordable pharmacy services while improving access to care for the patients we serve.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT) are strongly preferred; however, we also welcome Pharmacy Technician Trainees who are eager to learn and build a career in pharmacy. Experience with the 340B program is a plus, but we will provide the training and support necessary for you to succeed.

Job Duties

  • Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare medications under the direction of a licensed pharmacist
  • Enter prescription information and patient demographics accurately
  • Process refill requests and conduct patient profile reviews
  • Process insurance claims and assist with resolving coverage issues
  • Receive, verify, and organize prescriptions
  • Assist patients and healthcare providers in person and by phone
  • Collect patient co-pays and process transactions accurately
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, restocking, and removing outdated medications
  • Prepare prescription labels and organize medications for pharmacist verification
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support daily pharmacy operations, including station checklists and opening/closing duties
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
  • Display professionalism and provide outstanding customer service to patients and healthcare providers

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred
  • Candidates who are not certified must be eligible for and maintain active Pharmacy Technician Trainee registration in accordance with state requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician Trainees must successfully work toward national certification within the timeframe established by RiteChoice Pharmacy
  • Strong typing, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Dependable and quality-focused
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with RX30 or the ability to quickly learn pharmacy software systems
  • Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to travel occasionally between RiteChoice pharmacy locations as needed
