Job description

Lead Optometric Assistant

Pediatric Dental Group & Adventure Vision in Tulsa, OK, is currently seeking a Lead Optometric Assistant to monitor and manage optometric assistant performance and proficiency levels. This position will report to the Assistant Operations Manager.

Pay range: $18-$20/hr

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain, clean, and audit frame board on a weekly basis
  • Order and track materials/supplies needed for back office
  • Ensure patients are teched and scribed in a timely manner and assists the team when falling behind
  • Educate patients on proper frame selection and lens options
  • Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
  • Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a vision practice is a plus
  • Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in EHR systems
  • Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants
  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time
  • Preferred knowledge of optometric online software/database, Intero Order processing systems, Google Docs, and Document Portal Spreadsheet software
  • Bilingual a plus
