Job description

Echo Lab - Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer - PRN

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is your community medical provider, serving the Willamette Valley and its residents.  Our 113-bed hospital offers inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical and emergency care.  We are a family of caregivers offering care to our larger family — our community. 

Position Details:

  • Hourly Base Rate: $43.51 - $55.38 + 10% resource differential
  • Shift: Varied

Job Summary:   

  • Performs Echocardiography diagnostic testing for inpatients and outpatients. Transports patients to echo labor when necessary.  Goes to patient rooms for testing as assigned.  Contacts cardiologists immediately in the event that a life-threatening condition is identified during testing.  Assists with other types of testing as needed.

Educational/Licensing:   

  • Currently registered by CCI as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist or ARDMS as RDCS.  State licensure required through OBMI.  BLS certification required.

Qualifications:  

  • Two years experience in the field of echocardiography is preferred. Proficient in all modes of Adult Echocardiography 2D, color flow velocity and Doppler.  Ability to perform pediatric, trans-esophageal and stress echos is preferred.
