Job description

All About Kids is currently hiring Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) for its NYC Department of Education Preschool Contract Program!


All About Kids is seeking full-time and part-time Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) to provide 1:1 teaching to preschool children (ages 3 to 5 years old) throughout New York City’s five boroughs: Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Staten Island at preschools, daycares or children's homes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 or small group educational services to preschool children as per IEP guidelines.

  • Implementation of the child’s IEP

  • Coordinate child’s IEP program with classroom teachers, parents and related service therapists.

  • Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals in daily log notes.

  • Provide detailed progress reports.

  • Maintain effective communication with AAK Team, preschool teachers, parents, and other members of the child’s IEP team.

Job Types: W2 - Full-time, part-time

Pay: $78.00-$84.00 per hour - SY 26-27

Expected hours: 5-40 per week 

Credential Requirements 

  • Master’s Degree (Required) 

  • Valid NYS Teaching Certification in any of the following: 

    • Special Education Permanent 

    • Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2 

    • Students with Disabilities All Grades 

  • Cannot be a current DOE employee
