The watchman’s primary duty is to prevent illegal activity in order to protect the community, guests, and residents from harm. Watchman must be alert and quick to detect any attempts to damage property or harm residents, guests, or the community. Watchman is in charge of enforcing community policies, especially regarding security. They exercise discretion in granting authorization to enter or exit the building and conduct security screenings to ensure that no person intending to commit an unlawful activity is allowed in or around the premises.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of one-year related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Follow written and verbal directions.
Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
Exhibits an energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate attitude.
Possesses sound organizational and time management skills.
Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
