Overview:
Job Title: Security Systems Administrator 682743
Location: Atlanta, GA ( ON-SITE)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Assists in the day-to-day administration and maintenance of IT security systems. Second level support to the Help Desk for IT security system issues. Solves IT security system problems and executes solutions within specifications and with direction/guidance.
Job Duties and Performance Standards:
1.Serves as lead administrator for IT security systems.
โ€ข Administers departmental firewall solutions.
โ€ข Monitors, implements changes after approval, backups, works with trouble tickets, and patching.
โ€ข Administers departmental Virtual Private Networking (VPN) solutions.
โ€ข Monitors, implements changes after approval, backups, works with trouble tickets, and patching.
โ€ข Responds to incidents on a 24X7 basis.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
2.Creates policies and procedures for the administration of IT security systems, where needed.
โ€ข Firewalls
โ€ข VPN
3.Performs vulnerability assessments against new devices before production implementation.
โ€ข Configures, tests, reports, and provides guidance to correct deficiencies with IT system assessments.
โ€ข Escalates issues with the Information Security Officer.
4.Works with various levels of departmental personnel to ensure that business needs and security objectives are met.
โ€ข Completes work requests.
โ€ข Responds to email requests dealing with IT security systems.
โ€ข Works with section managers and the ISO to determine appropriate security controls for business systems.
5.Assists the Information Security Officer with technology evaluations and solutions.
โ€ข Conducts reviews of new and existing technologies and coordinates planning with the ISO.
โ€ข Reviews statistics from current IT security systems and provides feedback to ISO.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข 3+ years - Experience with configuring and maintaining hardware firewalls
โ€ข 2+ years - Experience with configuring and maintaining VPN systems
โ€ข 2+ years - Experience with configuring and maintaining *nix systems
โ€ข 2+ years - Experience with configuring and maintaining Windows server systems
โ€ข Excellent customer service skills
โ€ข Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข SSCP Certification
โ€ข CISSP Certification
โ€ข Security+ Certification
โ€ข GIAC Certification
