Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking motivated Security Systems Installation Technicians to support a growing portfolio of commercial security projects throughout the Southeast. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in low-voltage cabling, structured cabling, or security system installations who are looking to expand their technical skills and advance their careers within the security technology industry.

The successful candidate will install, troubleshoot, and support commercial security systems, including IP cameras, access control systems, card readers, door hardware, and associated low-voltage infrastructure. This role offers significant opportunities for career growth, long-term employment, and exposure to a wide variety of security technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure commercial security systems and related infrastructure
  • Pull, route, dress, and terminate low-voltage cabling
  • Install and support:
    • IP Camera and CCTV Systems
    • Access Control Systems
    • Card and Badge Readers
    • Door Contacts and Sensors
    • Magnetic Locks (Mag Locks)
    • Electric Strikes
    • Push-to-Exit Devices
  • Read and interpret project drawings, floor plans, and device layouts
  • Test, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues
  • Install and wire door hardware and security components
  • Maintain installation quality and safety standards
  • Support project schedules and ensure timely completion of work
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members
  • Document completed work and report project progress
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in:
    • Low-voltage cabling
    • Structured cabling
    • Security system installation
  • Experience pulling, routing, dressing, and terminating cable
  • Hands-on experience with cameras, access control systems, or related security devices
  • Ability to use standard hand and power tools
  • Ability to read basic construction drawings and device layouts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work safely on ladders and lifts
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance record

  • Regional travel within assigned market areas
  • Projects may be located throughout:
    • Charleston, Beaufort, and Bluffton regions
    • Charlotte, Rock Hill, and Greenville regions
  • Technicians must be comfortable traveling to project locations as required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
