Information Security Governance Senior Manager

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Information Security Governance Senior Manager to join the team in Arlington, VA; Berkeley, MO; Dallas, TX; Herndon, VA; El Segundo, CA; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Ridley Park, PA; or Seattle, WA.

The manager will serve as a Special Programs Security Manager for a dynamic and complex proprietary program. This position manages employees performing activities to protect information from unauthorized disclosure, including security inquiries, compliance assessments and implementation of security controls in the SCI and SAP domains.

As manager, you will work with senior and junior staff members and other managers to administer and implement United States (U.S.) Industrial Security Standards as outlined in 32 CFR 117 National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Directives, and DoDM 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manual and/or other authoritative sources of security regulations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing information security technical and policy related to Risk Management Framework activities

  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years

  • 10+ years of experience in Industrial Security working as a CPSO/ACPSO on Special Access Programs (SAP)

  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams and team development

  • Experience working with DoD Manual 5205.07 and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access

  • Willing to submit to and successfully pass a U.S. Government-administered polygraph examination

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • CDSE, NSTI/SASSI or other Professional Certification in SAP Security, SCI Administration, ICD-705, JSIG/RMF, COMSEC, or related security certifications

  • 10+ years of security-related work experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP, and/or SCI

  • 10+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives in the Defense or Aerospace environment

  • 10+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers

  • Experience working in an SCI/SAP/Aerospace security/intelligence community environment

  • Experience with the NISPOM and DoD SAP Manuals

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers

  • Willingness to perform occasional second-shift or after-hours work schedules to accommodate program operations
