MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Risk Manager to join our team in Lexington Park, MD.

This role provides overall risk management support to a diverse commodity product portfolio for the Common Aviation Support Equipment Program Office at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. You will help the team deliver equipment that enhances the maintenance capability of Sailors and Marines tasked to repair and service naval aircraft and airborne weapons systems fleet wide. This is a full-time hybrid position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • You will support the Risk Management process as delineated in the DoD Risk Management Guide for Defense Acquisition Programs using NAVAIR systems and tools.

  • This role involves developing risk management strategies and maintaining repositories to actively track risks throughout the program lifecycle.

  • You will submit risk reports to support program leadership decision points and prepare accurate risk metrics for program-level briefings.

  • You will represent the Risk Management Program at leadership meetings and conduct workshops to assist stakeholders in risk tracking and mitigation.

  • This position requires implementing risk assessment boards and providing training to teams on risk tools, policies, and proficiency.

  • You will facilitate working groups with IPT teams to capture new risks, issues, and opportunities while updating mitigation and corrective action plans.

  • You will manage the risk process for multiple large programs and maintain the Program Risk Plan and ISEE Risk Issue and Opportunity (RIO) register.

  • Travel up to 15%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field from an accredited college or university

  • 5+ years  of relevant DoD Program Office experience

  • Must have Risk Management experience

  • Demonstrated experience working on both Agile and traditional programs

  • Must have experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and risk reports

Preferred Qualifications :

  • You are ideally proficient in utilizing the NAVAIR ISEE RIO tool

  • You demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe products

  • This role benefits from experience working in dynamic, schedule-constrained, and product-diverse environments

  • You have strong demonstrated oral and written communication skills required for stakeholder management

  • Top Secret Clearance

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be US Citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • You must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • You will need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.

  • You must frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • You must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $68,600.00-$114,100.00.
