Operations Manager – Harrisonville, MO

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. is hiring an Operations Manager to lead production, quality, and maintenance at our Harrisonville, MO facility. In this role, you'll drive plant performance, develop your team, and help deliver a high quality, low cost finished product our customers count on.

What You'll Do

  • Own the safety, health, and well being of your team
  • Lead daily production meetings and provide direction to the operations team
  • Drive the creation, launch, and sustained success of new programs
  • Design and implement manufacturing strategies that hit safety, quality, cost, delivery, and volume goals
  • Develop and manage department budgets
  • Champion Lean problem solving, Training Within Industry (TWI), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Turn forecasts into operating plans that keep production on track
  • Prioritize the business critical issues with the biggest impact on plant performance
  • Allocate resources for maximum effectiveness across the operation
  • Develop and train line technicians and support staff for the long term
  • Build a flexible organization that adapts quickly to shifts in product demand
  • Foster team effectiveness through open communication, shared goals, and continuous improvement
  • Support compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies and regulations

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics and Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, related field
  • 3+ years of experience in an Operations Management position
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including supervisory experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Comfort working across all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
  • Proficiency with Windows based computer systems
  • A track record of goal setting, employee engagement, and results
