Position Summary

Guardian Security Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Security Operations Manager to oversee and support daily security operations across multiple client locations. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining operational excellence, supporting field personnel, ensuring contract compliance, strengthening client relationships, and delivering superior service standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a proven background in security operations management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary operational representative and ambassador for assigned client accounts
  • Coordinate communications and maintain operational standards across all assigned locations
  • Manage daily security operations while ensuring compliance with client expectations, company policies, and site protocols
  • Oversight and mentoring of all Supervisors and Security Personnel Evaluation of contract performance and compliance.
  • Development and updating of site post orders·        
  • Training of current and new employees to contract standards. Inspection of security personnel, measuring competency, appearance and morale
  • Identify performance shortcomings of Site Supervisors and Security personnel and address shortcomings through the development and implementation of program solutions.
  • Develop and implement goals/ objectives for direct reports. Conduct employee evaluations, counseling and discipline.   
  • Maintain open, timely and accurate communication between clients, Operations team, and Guardian principals.
  • Daily review of staffing levels ensuring compliance with manpower requirements of the assigned sites and maintain staffing report for all locations.
  • Oversee safety and security programs including access control, alarm systems, visitor management, and employee identification procedures
  • Conduct officer training, retraining, and performance evaluations to ensure professionalism, competency, and service excellence
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to understand client objectives and implement effective security solutions
  • Conduct regular client meetings, both in person and virtually, to maintain strong communication and service satisfaction
  • Perform site audits and inspections to ensure post orders remain accurate, updated, and consistently followed
  • Evaluate officer appearance, job knowledge, professionalism, and overall site performance
  • Ensure all client locations maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance
  • Make operational adjustments related to staffing, schedules, post orders, or site procedures as necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of all post instructions, emergency procedures, and operational requirements
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, coaching, and guidance to security personnel
  • Foster a professional, respectful, and safety-focused work environment
  • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making in high-pressure or supervisory situations

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the security industry
  • Proven leadership and operations management experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service and client relationship management skills
  • Reliable transportation required

Required Certifications & Screening

  • Valid Illinois Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Valid Illinois PERC Card
  • Ability to successfully complete a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize operational software platforms and reporting systems
  • Experience with WinTeam is preferred
  • Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and computers in a daily operational environment
