SUMMARY

The Security Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Security Department, ensuring the safety of guests, team members, and company assets while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company standards. This role manages and develops security staff, manages scheduling and labor resources, supports departmental budgeting, and promotes exceptional guest service. The Security Manager oversees emergency response, investigations, incident reporting, policy enforcement, and security operations, while serving as the primary liaison with law enforcement, fire departments, and gaming regulators. The position is responsible for identifying security risks, implementing operational improvements, protecting company assets, and maintaining strict confidentiality in all departmental matters.

  • Responsible for managing staff in the Security department. Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Creates effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals. .
  • Ensures response to medical emergencies and complete Illness/Injury reports when necessary.
  • Promptly report and remedy any legal/compliance measures.
  • Develops, enforces, reviews and approves changes or revisions to operating practices, procedures and standards based on business practices and internal controls.
  • Identifies and resolves security related problems.
  • Develop and implement alternative methods for security operation improvement.
  • Examines and analyzes the physical property, processes and procedures and develop, institute, oversee and enforce emergency policies.
  • Serves as liaison with gaming regulators, public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security by maintaining a positive and constructive relationship.
  • Conducts, supervises and prepares reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of law, regulations, policies or procedures.
  • Provide escorts as needed.
  • Testify in court when necessary.
  • Protect and preserve the assets of the company.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
  • Must have the ability to work nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B,S.) or equivalent; or five years of casino Security, military, or police experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of leadership experience highly preferred.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
