You have experience working in a multi-channel, highly automated Distribution Center, where you collaborate closely with your manager and other leaders to ensure service levels are met, quality standards are maintained, and costs are kept in alignment with organizational expectations. As a Supervisor, you play a key leadership role in supervising daily functions and performance within your assigned department and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. You are detail-oriented and proactive and leverage those skills to ensure efficient workflows, accurate processing, and adherence to company standards and safety protocols. You are also an experienced leader who can effectively manage labor schedules, meet and exceed service level agreements (SLAs), train and develop associates, and drive process improvements. As a hands-on leader reporting to a Manager, DC Operations, you thrive on the distribution center floor, motivating a team of dedicated associates to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Operations & Workflow Management

  • Develop and implement daily operational plans aligned with service level agreements (SLAs) and business goals

  • Oversee labor scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow coordination to meet productivity and efficiency targets

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as accuracy, throughput, and efficiency, taking corrective action as needed

  • Collaborate with inventory control and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless material flow and stock accuracy

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices

  • Promote and maintain a 5S culture by implementing organizational and process improvement initiatives

  • Prepare and present reports on operational metrics, challenges, and improvement strategies

  • Facilitate effective communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment between departments

  • Collaborate with key partners such as transportation, inventory control, customer service, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and streamline operations

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

  • Challenge the status quo, leveraging data and insights to refine operational workflows

  • Address operational challenges with practical solutions, ensuring seamless execution across departments

People Management & Leadership

  • Lead, train, and mentor employees to enhance performance and career development

By actively supervising daily operations and a team of associates as well as handling other duties and rotating to other departments as assigned, you will contribute to the overall success of the Distribution Center, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Additional Department Specific Requirements:

  • Inventory Control: Supervise and actively support team in achieving inventory accuracy through cycle counting, auditing, and reconciliation, while minimizing discrepancies and supporting efficient operations

  • Packing: Supervise and actively support team in the accurate and efficient preparation of customer and retail/wholesale orders for shipment, including the verification of items, packaging items according to brand standards, quality control, and timely shipment preparation

  • Picking & Replenishment: Supervise and actively support team in achieving efficient and accurate order picking, inventory restocking, and workflow optimization to meet fulfillment targets

  • Receiving: Supervise and actively support team in achieving timely and accurate unloading, inspection, and put-away of inbound inventory while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards

  • Returns: Supervise and actively support team in the efficient processing of returned merchandise, including inspection, restocking, and disposition decisions, to support inventory integrity and customer satisfaction.

  • Shipping: Supervise and actively support team in achieving on-time and accurate order dispatch, proper carrier coordination, and compliance with shipping requirements to meet delivery expectations

To Land This Role:

  • H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 3+ years of related experience working in a distribution environment; 1+ year of management/people leadership experience

  • Prior experience with automation within a distribution environment and experience in a high volume/high value distribution center is a plus

  • Strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead by example, ability to motivate for high performance, and ability to manage team members at various performance levels

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective cross-functional relationships, navigate interactions with all levels of management, and maintain professionalism at all times

  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office suite

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to think strategically as well as tactically

  • Must have English proficiency (speaking and understanding)

  • Able to lift and move up to 35 lbs

  • Able to actively walk the warehouse floor; and stand for extended periods up to 12 hours

  • This facility is a multi-shift building so the right candidate must be flexible with their schedule to include nights and weekend schedules if/when needed
