Job description

Surefox North America Inc is a veteran owned company that prides itself on creating a diverse and unique culture of trained and talented individuals. We are currently seeking an experienced Incident Commander with high integrity and professionalism who can join our team here in the Draper, UT. You will be working on uniquely assigned projects under the guidance of the Shift Supervisors and Area Managers for our top Utah clients. In your day to day role as an Incident Commander, you will be acting as a liaison between Surefox and its clients while providing emergency response.
You will perform all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures, and all state & federal regulations. Other responsibilities include responding to emergency events, medical & non-medical issues, and handling client requests in a timely manner with an emphasis on customer service. Under certain circumstances, an Incident Commander will be expected to initiate preliminary investigations by writing incident reports on all internal client and company issues. To be successful in this position, you must be able to handle the physical demands of the role and the activity required as part of the static or foot patrol responsibilities of the various positions. We are looking for someone who has exceptional observational skills and pays close attention to detail.

Base Hourly Rate - $25.00

What You Will Do

  • Conduct patrols, monitor access, deter unauthorized entry, and enforce security measures

  • Collaborate with a Security Operations Center by responding to calls for service, reporting suspicious activity, security violations, and assisting with initial responses

  • Respond promptly and safely to emergencies, contact first responders as needed, and taking initial action to control & secure a scene

  • Proactively investigate and report accidents, incidents, or other suspicious activity

  • Verify identification of employees, vendors, or guests and control access using badges or other credentials

  • Document security events, observations, and routine activity in detailed Daily Activity Reports or Incident Reports

  • Perform light front desk duties to include: greeting visitors, providing directions, verifying access, and creating a positive first impression

  • Assist employees and provide a professional, welcoming environment for visitors and clients

  • Build rapport with and foster a collaborative environment with workplace & facilities teams, employees, visitors, and clients

  • Proactively de-escalate situations and address concerns with courtesy and professionalism

  • Work independently and adapt to varying work paces while remaining focused and energetic

What is Required

  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines

  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes)

  • Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate

  • Must have a current BSIS guard card or be eligible to qualify for a guard card

  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent

  • Must have a current CPR & First Aid certification or be eligible to qualify for a certification

  • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies

  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders

What is Preferred

  • Military background is strongly preferred

  • Security or law enforcement related experience preferred
