Description

Job Summary:

  • Provide clinical anesthesia care in accordance with best clinical practices.
  • Interview, select and hire qualified personnel.
  • Manage daily operations of CRNA staff.
  • Coordinate purchasing of supplies and equipment and maximize efficient utilization.
  • Manage work schedules, call schedules and emergency schedule changes.
  • Counsel and evaluate team members.
  • Follow hospital policy and security of controlled substances.
  • Work to create and manage productivity goals and measurements.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation agency requirements.
  • Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
  • Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Qualifications

Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing and accredited school of anesthesia by the AANA. Certified registered nurse anesthetist with Alabama license. Registered by the Alabama Board of Nurse Examiners.

Experience: 5 years of experience as a nurse anesthetist with a minimum of 2 years' leadership experience in anesthesia services.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers regarding sensitive issues. Must be proficient in the use of personal computer, email and Microsoft software. Must be able to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of workflow. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
