Security Officer Armed Patrol Site Protection

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Site Protection in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to campus needs. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity. This armed post requires a valid Armed Guard Card or License and Texas Level III Armed Certification.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.94 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime

Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain authorized firearms and other assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken through clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
