Overview
The Security Manager provides oversight and supervision of full-time and part-time security personnel. This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and updating security policies, programs, procedures, and systems designed to protect the physical assets of Regions Arena. The Security Manager facilitates the process of providing a safe and secure environment for all Regions Arena guests, tenants, employees, vendors, and contractors.
This role pays an annual salary of $50,000-$60,000

This position will remain open until November 13, 2026.
Responsibilities
  • Hire and train part-time security staff. Schedules, assigns, and supervises security event staff and fire panel monitor.
  • Assist AGM of Events in development and oversight of strategic safety plans with the objective of managing and mitigating risk for Regions Arena during concerts, family shows, sporting events, and other entertainment events.
  • Manage a team of 24/7 building security staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and post assignments.
  • Schedule and manage any third-party security, when needed
  • Implement and manage security programs to ensure appropriate levels of security, safety, privacy, and recovery of company assets, loss prevention, commercial tenants, and patrons.
  • Maintain a professional, service-oriented relationship with fans/guests attending arena events.
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist the operation department with fire & life safety procedures.
  • Assist the AGM of Events in delivering reports detailing overall program compliance and program effectiveness.
  • Assist AGM of Events in developing and implementing an ongoing risk assessment program targeting information security and privacy matters, recommend methods for vulnerability detection and remediation, and oversee vulnerability testing.
  • Assist the AGM of Events to guarantee all laws, codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations, and emergency procedures are followed.
  • Assures the safety of patrons, arena staff, visiting artists, clients, and dignitaries.
  • Audits situations of concern, at times placing self in positions that may be of risk.
  • Develops and coordinates safety training programs for full-time and part-time employees to increase awareness and maintain records as necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with police, fire, EMS, and other security personnel and/or safety organizations at the city, state, and federal levels.
  • Investigates, reports, and provides follow-up on incidents of damage/injury to the facility or individuals.
  • Prepare and approve bi-weekly payroll for all security staff.
  • Communicates and reviews plans with various facility personnel for functions required to establish a safe and efficient environment for hosting facility events.
  • Work security guard shifts when necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma or G.E.D. with related experience.
  • 3-5 years in Security Management.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience managing teams.
  • Driver's license

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Genetec Access Control and Video management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of alcohol management, crowd management, and managing guests in sports and entertainment and sports environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with 2-way radios
  • Teamwork-oriented and positive attitude to welcome guests
  • Knowledge of security monitoring systems
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with divisions within the facility, contracted services, and clientele.
