Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is looking for a dependable Unarmed Mobile Patrol Officer to provide overnight coverage across multiple assigned properties in the Moberly area. This position requires frequent travel between locations, routine property checks, and prompt attention to conditions that may require follow-up.
The officer will spend much of the shift operating a patrol vehicle and making brief inspections at assigned locations. The ideal candidate is punctual, observant, comfortable working independently, and able to make practical decisions when unexpected situations arise.
Mobile Patrol Duties
  • Travel between assigned properties according to the scheduled patrol route.
  • Conduct regular checks of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds.
  • Look for unauthorized individuals, property damage, unsecured areas, or unusual conditions.
  • Maintain a consistent security presence while completing assigned patrols.
  • Inspect locations carefully and identify issues requiring further attention.
  • Follow established patrol instructions and procedures at each assigned location.
Security Observation & Response
  • Investigate unusual conditions observed during routine patrols within the scope of assigned duties.
  • Respond appropriately to security concerns discovered during property checks.
  • Notify supervisors when an issue requires additional assistance or direction.
  • Take reasonable steps to protect property while awaiting further support when necessary.
  • Remain calm and use sound judgment when dealing with unexpected circumstances.
  • Follow company procedures and applicable requirements when responding to incidents.
Reporting & Communication
  • Record completed patrols using approved reporting methods.
  • Prepare clear documentation for incidents, property damage, suspicious activity, and other significant observations.
  • Report maintenance, access, safety, or security concerns promptly.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors when conditions require follow-up.
  • Provide accurate details regarding the location, time, and nature of reported issues.
  • Complete required reports before the end of the assigned shift.
Vehicle & Route Responsibilities
  • Operate an assigned patrol vehicle safely while traveling between properties.
  • Follow applicable traffic laws and company vehicle requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings while entering and leaving each location.
  • Follow assigned patrol routes and scheduled check times.
  • Report vehicle or equipment concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Keep required patrol equipment secure and ready for use.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of 3 years as a licensed driver.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Strong problem-solving and practical decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine issues and determine when additional assistance is needed.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work overnight hours according to the posted schedule.
  • Comfortable working independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and designated contacts.
