Position: Armed Security Guard
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00 / DOE
Job Overview:
Delta Security Services is seeking highly professional and responsible Armed Security Guards to join our team. This position requires a valid Arizona armed guard license and strong situational awareness. Armed guards are expected to maintain a high level of vigilance, respond to incidents, enforce site policies, and act as a visible deterrent to criminal activity. Officers must be calm under pressure, follow post orders, and act in accordance with state laws and company policy regarding the use of force.
Responsibilities: Patrol & Protection:
  • Provide armed security presence at assigned location
  • Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols as required by post orders
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, trespassing, theft, vandalism, or safety concerns
  • Secure property, buildings, and access points

Incident Response:
  • Respond to emergencies, disturbances, or security breaches
  • De-escalate situations when possible; use appropriate force only when necessary
  • Contact law enforcement or emergency services when needed
  • Follow company and legal procedures when handling any use-of-force situations

Reporting & Documentation:
  • Write accurate incident reports and shift activity logs
  • Document any security violations, interactions, or suspicious observations
  • Report all major incidents to supervisors or dispatch in a timely manner

Communication & Conduct:
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with supervisors, dispatch, and fellow guards
  • Provide customer service and support to clients, staff, residents, or visitors
  • Uphold Delta Security Services' standards of appearance, behavior, and integrity

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Must have a valid Arizona Armed Guard License (current and in good standing)
  • Must have a valid Firearm Qualification Card (AZ DPS)
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Clean background and able to pass pre-employment drug screening
  • No felony convictions or prohibitions from possessing a firearm
  • Must have reliable transportation and a working phone
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as an armed guard, law enforcement, or military
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Knowledge of report writing, radio use, and emergency response procedures
