Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School is seeking a Guard Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of front desk guards across both campuses. The Guard Supervisor ensures consistent implementation of access control, visitor management, patrol functions, and emergency response protocols, and supports the Director of Security in maintaining a professional, service-oriented security presence. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varying shifts are required.
Salary range: $57,000–$64,000/year (non-exempt)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise front desk guards at both campuses; inspect posts, entrances, and patrol routes regularly
- Ensure compliance with security policies, professional standards, and dress code
- Coach and mentor guards; ensure proficiency with access control, visitor management, and CCTV systems
- Maintain guard schedules; coordinate leave, shift swaps, overtime, and emergency coverage
- Serve as relief officer/post coverage as needed; liaise with the Director of Security on staffing and operations
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and inspect stairwells, hallways, and perimeter areas
- Ability to respond to emergencies and lift/carry emergency equipment
- Flexible availability required (non-negotiable)
