As a Security Guard Full Time Walking Rounds in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a public school community. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations, and communicate with staff, students, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security-related procedures, school-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to designated school personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, support established entry procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through clear and accurate reports in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Guard Card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
