Bergen Protective Systems, Inc., an independent fire alarm and electronic security company founded in 1964, is looking for experienced technicians. We are focused on the commercial market and applicants should have experience working on fire alarm systems, burglar alarm systems, access control systems and CCTV systems.

Job Description
* Prepare for security/fire alarm installations by reviewing installation orders; gather equipment, supplies, and tools.
* Establish security/fire alarm system by installing equipment; running and pulling wiring; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
* Verify security/fire alarm system functionality by testing equipment, connections, and signals; identify and correct problems.
* Maintain records by documenting installation.
* Maintain safe and secure work environment by following safe practices.
Qualifications
* At least three (3) years of experience in the fire alarm and electronic security industry; Knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), IBC 2006 and ADA.
* Safety Management, Equipment Service / Maintenance, Functional and Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Electronic Systems, ADA Requirements, Verbal Communication, Dealing with Complexity, Informing Others
* NICET Certification Desired and Encouraged.
* Must have a valid Driver's License.
