Special Event Security Manager - Major Special Event

Position Summary
Treston Security Services is hiring experienced Special Event Security Managers to provide operational leadership for a major special event in Anaheim, California.
Special Event Security Managers will oversee supervisors and officers assigned to one or more event halls, zones, shifts, or specialized security functions. Managers will maintain situational awareness, coordinate incident response, address staffing and performance concerns, and serve as a primary point of contact for security operations.
Qualified candidates must possess strong leadership, organization, communication, and incident-management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct security operations within assigned event halls, zones, shifts, or functional areas.
  • Lead and support assigned security supervisors and officers.
  • Review staffing plans, schedules, post assignments, and post orders.
  • Confirm that all critical posts are properly staffed.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned personnel, radios, keys, credentials, and equipment.
  • Conduct management-level briefings before and after each shift.
  • Monitor event conditions and make timely redeployment decisions.
  • Coordinate responses to security, safety, medical, access-control, and crowd-management incidents.
  • Establish clear priorities during active or changing operational conditions.
  • Serve as a liaison with client representatives, venue management, production personnel, medical teams, and other authorized event partners.
  • Ensure all significant incidents are properly documented, communicated, and escalated.
  • Address staffing shortages, attendance concerns, performance issues, and operational deficiencies.
  • Review supervisor logs, incident reports, deployment records, and attendance documentation.
  • Support emergency procedures, evacuation operations, and command-post communications.
  • Maintain consistent professional and customer-service standards.
  • Provide complete turnover briefings to incoming management personnel.
  • Prepare end-of-shift summaries identifying significant incidents, staffing concerns, completed actions, and unresolved issues.
  • Protect confidential event, talent, client, and operational information.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid and current California BSIS Guard Card.
  • Previous security management experience is required.
  • Experience managing security operations at conventions, major entertainment events, festivals, arenas, hotels, or complex facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading supervisors and large security teams.
  • Strong operational judgment and incident-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of access control, crowd management, emergency procedures, deployment, and incident documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple operational issues simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain composure during high-pressure situations.
  • Must be available for required planning meetings, briefings, and assigned shifts between September 3 and September 16, 2026.
Work Schedule and Conditions
  • Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and extended shifts may be required.
  • Managers may be required to report before employee check-in and remain after shift conclusion.
  • Work may include event setup, load-in, public event operations, overnight coverage, and load-out.
  • Managers must be able to move throughout a large venue and respond to multiple operational areas.
  • Assignments and schedules may change based on client and event requirements.
