Job description

Responsibilities

The Security Compliance Specialist I supports the execution of security-related activities for federal and government project sites. This role helps ensure compliance with federal security requirements, facilitates secure site access for authorized personnel, and maintains accurate documentation in accordance with government and contract standards. The position supports audit readiness, protection of sensitive environments, and efficient security administration across federal projects. This individual serves as backup support to the Security Compliance Specialist II or site security lead as needed.

  • Assist with coordinating deliveries to secure project sites in compliance with federal security protocols.
  • Track, control, and document authorized personal electronic devices, including tablets, phones, cameras, and specialty equipment used on site.
  • Maintain accurate logs and assist in ensuring device usage complies with site and contract requirements.
  • Collect, review, and organize required access paperwork and applications to support timely processing and site entry for employees, vendors, and visitors.
  • Maintain and update logs of badge status, submitted forms, approvals, and outstanding access requests.
  • Organize, catalog, and maintain project photos and documentation in Procore or other designated systems in accordance with federal contract requirements and site-specific security protocols.
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine site access requests, electronic device authorization, and day-to-day compliance questions.
  • Support security audits, inspections, investigations, and briefings as required.
  • Collaborate with project teams, federal security representatives, and internal compliance partners to support adherence to government and company security requirements.
  • Provide backup support to the Security Compliance Specialist II or primary site security compliance lead.
  • Perform related administrative, documentation, and compliance duties as assigned

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience supporting security compliance, access control, or site security on federal or government projects is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, compliant records.
  • Familiarity with Procore or similar project management and documentation platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, handle sensitive and confidential information, and consistently follow strict regulatory and security standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard administrative systems preferred.
