Apple's Security Engineering & Architecture organization is responsible for the security of all Apple products. Platform security certification team is passionate about demonstrating the reliability and strength of the key security features of Apple devices and services through a great variety of certification programs. We drive the public assurance of Apple security solutions, make sure Apple meets and exceeds industry and regional security standards and regulations as well as enable new business opportunities.

Our team has a central role in enabling Apple products’ use in industries with specific security requirements, assuring Apple services’ security compliance as well as we actively participate in and contribute to the development of security standards.

Description
Our team is responsible for defining and running the security certification strategy for all the Apple platforms such as Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Vision Pro and Apple TV. We also lead these certification projects around the world utilizing a great variety of standards and evaluation schemes.
At the intersection of security technologies, industry influence and evolving governmental standards, the team is looking for a motivated engineer to help with defining and leading these security certifications.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing the security certification process for Apple products and operating systems as well as work cooperatively with other parts of Apple on cross-functional technologies and their security strategies. You will also collaborate with industry representatives, evaluation labs and governmental bodies.
Driving certifications of complex products from the beginning to the end is also a key element of the role.
This position is for an engineer passionated by security through development of security standards, evaluation processes and would love to evolve in a strong technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Significant understanding of security engineering principles
Experience working with certification bodies and evaluation laboratories
Experience writing product security profiles for evaluation scoping (Security Target, Protection Profile, or other product security definition)
An effective communicator and engaging presenter who can influence multiple audiences from project teams to senior leadership as well as Apple's certification partners (regulators, evaluators and standardization bodies)
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) nice to have.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in security and/or security certifications
Working knowledge of Common Criteria and FIPS 140-2/3 certifications, or strong willingness to learn
Passion for high quality deliverables, thriving for efficiency
Ability to work cross-functionally with other software, hardware, marketing, and support teams to provide the best security solutions for Apple’s products
Excellent teamwork skills and ability to represent Apple and your organization in conversations with internal and external stakeholders
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
