Job description


Conducts surveillance in retail, food, and services facilities and/or distribution centers to detect acts of pilferage or other illegal or dishonest acts. Surveys physical working conditions or work practices which could result in injury or illness to customers, associates, or damage to property.

Job Qualifications
Completion of high school or the equivalent. Six months of experience in protection of property, maintenance of order, enforcement of laws, and related work.
If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting.
Major Duties
Conducts surveillance in AAFES facilities to detect acts of shoplifting, theft, or other illegal/dishonest acts. Advises supervisor of apparent illegal/dishonest acts and attempts to detain suspect(s) until appropriate law enforcement arrives. Prepares reports.
May assist in conducting loss prevention, OSHA, and environmental compliance inspections and completions of reports.
Provides assistance in customer and associate injury accident investigations, report preparation, and corrective action.
May train associates in anti-robbery, hazmat, and bomb threat procedures.
May be required to manage or assist in managing the Exchange information and personnel security program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
