Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned): 

The IT Security Administrator:

  • Achieve and/or maintain relevant professional certifications and continue professional development. 
  • Maintain usable and timely documentation. 
  • Acts as a technical resource, mentoring and supporting other teams as needed. 
  • Identify, research, document, and coordinate the execution of security initiatives with the team. 
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and support network infrastructure software and hardware. 
  • Monitor for and respond to irregular behavior and determine appropriate security controls. 
  • Ensure the security of Youth Villages’ networks using intrusion detection, firewall configuration, anti-malware protection, and vulnerability assessment. 
  • Plan and implement changes to improve the security posture of the organization. 
  • Educate and train staff on security best practices. 
  • Manages and governs the secure lifecycle of enterprise hardware, software, data, identities, and application development. 
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve software and hardware issues. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
  • Current Security+ or equivalent certifications 
  • 3+ years of experience in at least 2 of the 8 CISSP domains 
    • Security and Risk Management 
    • Asset Security 
    • Security Architecture and Engineering 
    • Communication and Network Security 
    • IAM (Identity and Access Management) 
    • Security Assessment and Testing 
    • Security Operations 
    • Software Development Security 
  • Configuring, hardening, troubleshooting and managing:  
    • Modern versions of Microsoft Windows Server 
    • Microsoft 365 
    • Fortinet and Meraki firewalls 
    • Virtualized environments 
  • Operating and optimizing use of 
    • SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) 
    • PAM (Privileged Access Management) 
    • MDR (Managed Detection & Response) 
    • Email Security Gateways 
    • Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions 
  • Performing incident response 
  • Monitoring networks and systems

Preferred experience: 

  • Managing Apple computers through MDM solutions like JAMF 
  • Implementing Secure Software Development Lifecycle 
  • Web development 

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently remains in stationary position for periods of time. 
  • Regularly needs to move throughout office to access file cabinets and office machinery. 
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machines, and printer. 
  • Constantly must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, and exchange information
