Introduction

The Salesforce Lead Engineer will serve as the highest level of technical authority for the enterprise Salesforce ecosystem. This role involves defining platform architecture, establishing engineering and governance standards, leading modernization efforts, and ensuring the scalability, security, and maintainability of Salesforce solutions as the business grows.

ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:
  • Define and govern Salesforce architecture standards
  • Lead architectural reviews and technical decision-making
  • Mentor senior engineers, technical leads, and solution architects
Salesforce Architecture & Solution Design:
  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions
  • Architect for scale within platform constraints
  • Evaluate new Salesforce capabilities and adoption strategies
Platform Engineering & Development:
  • Lead development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows
  • Ensure adherence to secure development and code quality standards
  • Establish standards for maintenance and retirement of legacy frameworks
Enterprise Integration:
  • Design and govern integration solutions using APIs and middleware platforms
  • Define enterprise integration patterns and API strategy
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects to align integrations with technology strategy
Data Architecture & Governance:
  • Own the Salesforce data model and system-of-record definitions
  • Define data quality, retention, and archival strategies
  • Govern data migration and consolidation programs
Platform Modernization & Innovation:
  • Lead platform modernization initiatives and technical debt reduction programs
  • Drive adoption of modern Salesforce capabilities
  • Recommend architectural improvements for business agility and scalability
DevOps & Operational Excellence:
  • Establish Salesforce DevOps standards and deployment practices
  • Improve platform observability, reliability, and supportability
  • Partner with Security and Infrastructure teams for compliance
Security, Risk & Compliance:
  • Own the Salesforce security architecture and compliance posture
  • Contribute to business continuity planning and data restoration strategy
  • Manage vendor relationships and licensing
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and enterprise architects
  • Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and business audiences
RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 12+ years of Salesforce platform development and architecture experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within regulated industries such as insurance or healthcare
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale CRM transformation programs
  • Contributions to the Salesforce community
