Overview

Intelligent Waves is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Software Developer- Senior to support our mission critical work in support of our government customer at National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC).ย 

This is a Hybrid position.ย 

Location:ย Within 120 Mile Radius of NGIC- Charlottesville, Virginiaย  Travel:ย Ability to travel to NGIC two times per month

Responsibilities
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments; plans and leads major technology initiatives; evaluates performance and recommends changes impacting short-term project growth and success; functions as a technical expert across multiple efforts; may supervise team members
  • Design, implement, and manage containerization solutions across enterprise environments
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using automation and scripting tools
  • Configure, integrate, and optimize platform services to support operational requirements
  • Monitor system performance and ensure stability of management infrastructure
  • Build and maintain hardened machine images (e.g., Azure VMs) in accordance with security standards
  • Ensure compliance with STIG requirements and other DoD security policies
  • Develop custom services and solutions to enable and streamline security inheritance across systems
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology-related field (6 years of relevant IT systems implementation experience may substitute for a degree)
  • 7+ years of software development experience building solutions within secure Government cloud environments
  • 2+ years of experience provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining software and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using automation tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • 2+ years of experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies, including Kubernetes
  • 1+ year of experience deploying and supporting Azure Landing Zones, developing and implementing Azure policies, utilizing command-line interfaces, and working with network technologies (e.g., DNS, load balancing, TLS)
  • Experience with AWS cloud environments
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Compliance with DoDD 8570.01-M requirements, including IAT Level II baseline certification and applicable computing environment certifications (e.g., Security+, cloud service provider certification)
