Job description

Position Summary
Odyssey is recruiting for a Cybersecurity Specialist IV. In this role, you will support PM Soldier Survivability (SSV), which is located at Ft. Belvoir, VA and Huntsville, AL. The support required under this effort includes engineering, quality assurance and test support, acquisition support, business management support, logistics and fielding support, operations support, and administrative support. The specific task areas include program management, analysis, planning, studies, liaison, and operations support, strategic communications, engineering and logistics support, new equipment training, system test and product fielding support, acquisition and contracting support, software development and system safety, studies and analysis and quick response support.
PM SSV's mission is to equip, clothe, and protect Soldiers to maximize performance today and provide enhanced capability tomorrow. PM SSV's products protect Soldiers and allow them to operate in any condition. Product Manager Air Warrior (PdM AW), Product Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PdM SCIE) and Product Manager Soldier Protective Equipment (PdM SPE) are subordinate Product Offices in PM SSV.

Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Serves as subject matter expert for all cybersecurity/information technology aspects of assigned program.
  • Performs top-level system architecture-related design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Translates military operational and mission requirements (ground, sea, air, and space) into practical systems concepts and design performance requirements.
  • Participates in post awards, program reviews, design reviews, and IPTs as the cybersecurity specialist/engineer on assigned programs.
  • Evaluate and conduct design efforts from a cybersecurity viewpoint to ensure integration of all required cybersecurity products and adequacy of the analyses
  • Prepare and review cybersecurity-related test plans, procedures, and reports on technical adequacy on assigned programs for both Government and contractor tests, as well as related failure reports.
  • Reviews and evaluates system performance against cybersecurity-related specification requirements, monitors and assesses field performance, and assesses the risk of meeting user and specification requirements.
  • Prepares and evaluates cybersecurity security strategies for requested programs.
  • Perform security analyses and risk/vulnerability assessments.
  • Execute day-to-day certification and accreditation activities for a project team.
  • Has the breadth of experience, knowledge, and recognition in the Cybersecurity community, to lead efforts on assigned programs and work independently with minimal oversight from the Government Lead.
  • Serve as consultant to other team members and mentor workforce on Cybersecurity matters.
  • Evaluate Cybersecurity products, procedures, and p system architecture used on past programs, and establish new and innovative cybersecurity strategies.
  • Identify issues and brief PM on possible courses of action and their impact

Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Secret
Education: MS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or Information Science
Years of Experience: At least 20 years of experience
Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Technical Skills
  • Extensive experience in operational cybersecurity accreditation and certification of embedded systems accredited at Secret level and below.
  • Extensive understanding of AR 25-2 and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) to include actually current experience (less than 2 years old) in obtaining system accreditation using the DoD RMF and the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) software.
  • Extensive experience preparing recommended IA approval and supporting information documentation. Understand systems engineering processes.
  • Possesses extensive experience as a Network Security Architect.
  • Extensive understanding of the DoD standards guiding cybersecurity policy development, requirements, integration, engineering, and certification and accreditation.
