Required Qualifications: The following are the qualifications and minimum requirements necessary for a person to perform this job.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and post-secondary training or work experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following functions have been determined by Silver Creek School Corporation to be essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional office environment.
  • Manage the front office, including answering phones, responding to emails, and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including enrollment, attendance, and demographic information.
  • Process student registrations, withdrawals, and transfers in accordance with district procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, newsletters, and school communications.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for administrators and school events.
  • Assist with coordination of school activities, meetings, and events.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with privacy laws and district policies.
  • Manage office supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Assist with substitute teacher coordination and staff attendance tracking.
  • Support building administration with clerical duties, reports, and data entry.
  • Provide support during emergencies by following school safety protocols and procedures.
  • Adhere to and support board policy, school guidelines, administrative rules and directives.
  • Respond to correspondence from both staff, students, and parents in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or as directed by the School Building Principals or Superintendent.
