Our Defense division in Salt Lake City, UT is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team within the Missiles business unit where you will work on missile control actuation systems! This Engineering Technician will be working on a variety of production programs and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, quality, and production of assigned products. You will report to the Site Engineering Manager and enjoy a 9/80 schedule on second shift!
This is an on-site, collaborative working environment that offers a 9/80 schedule to include every other Friday off! (Formal schedule is M-Th, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, every other F 1:00pm - 9:00pm)
As an Engineering Technician, you will:
  • Plan and perform Engineering tests and Engineering inspections/evaluations of hardware.
  • Use technical understanding of high precision complex electrohydraulic servo components to the degree required to diagnose performance failures and specify rework.
  • Complete data preparation, analysis, and evaluation of trends.
  • Author Production Assembly/Test documentation including routers, travel cards, work instructions, etc.
  • Assist technicians in methods of Assembly and Test, use of equipment and instrumentation, and diagnosis and rework of anomalies/failures.
  • Monitor Assembly/Test producibility of assigned products and institute continuous improvements.
  • Act as a technical liaison supporting Project/Product Engineers and project team meetings.
  • Disposition suspect material and test failures with engineering rationale.
  • Provide support to Assembly/Test operations in coordination with the lead Project/Product Engineer.

To be considered for Engineering Technician, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • HS Diploma, or G.E.D.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, system schematics and other technical documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and coordination with internal and external customers, suppliers, etc., on complex projects and issues.
  • The ability to write work instructions and other engineering documentation.
  • Ability to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UT (remote candidates will not be considered).

It would be great if you also had:
  • Vocational/technical education in related discipline.
  • Technical expertise in electromechanical actuation products, electronics, and related technologies.
  • MRB Experience (Material Review Board).
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge.

Salary Range Transparency:
Salt Lake City, UT $56,000.00-$90,000.00 Annually
