Thrive Education Partners partners with families to design and manage educational experiences that extend beyond a traditional classroom model and ensure every child reaches their full potential. We are seeking a highly qualified elementary teacher to serve as an Enrichment tutor for a family and thier Second Grader. This tutor and their family will partner with the Thrive team to ensure Sto delivers a rigorous, engaging, and highly individualized learning experience twice a week.
Role Overview
- Deliver highly engaging and personalized individualized instruction across math, English language arts, science, and social studies
- Develop and adapt rigorous learning experiences based on student progress, interests, and goals.
- Administer assessments, maintain learning documentation, and use data to guide instructional decisions as desired
- Partner with parents and Thrive's Educational Management team to ensure alignment, communication and continuityy
- Builds and maintains a strong communicative relationship with student and family
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; preference for degree to be in Education or related field
- At least two years of experience as a full-time Lower Elementary, Elementary, or 2nd grade teacher; private school experience as a teacher or tutor required
- Experience with differentiating instructional content, activities, and approach for Elementary students
- Experience teaching Elementary mathematics and Elementary English language arts
- Familiarity with Beast Academy, Art of Problem Solving-style thinking, and Singapore-style math
- Experience using enrichment-oriented instructional strategies including exploration, small projects, discovery, hands-on options, and experiential content with limited worksheets
- Experience with building relationships with students and partnering with families
- Knowledge of K-5 Standards
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Availability to consistently attend two 60-minute after-school or evening tutoring sessions
- Preferred Qualifications
- Holds an active and valid K-8 teaching certification in Texas
- Experience teaching Elementary social studies and science
Benefits
Compensation:
This role pays $60-$95 per hour, depending on experience, private-school familiarity, and fit.
