About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to play a key role in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. This position owns critical components of stock-based compensation accounting and SEC reporting processes, contributes to SOX 404 compliance, and serves as a subject matter resource within the accounting function.
This role is designed for an experienced professional who operates with a high degree of independence, contributes to complex initiatives, and influences process improvements across the organization.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
Stock-Based Compensation
  • Own end-to-end accounting for stock-based compensation under ASC 718, including expense recognition, forfeitures, modifications, and settlements.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze equity compensation schedules and roll forwards; ensure accuracy and completeness for period-end close.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for equity compensation, providing guidance to cross-functional partners (HR, Legal, Payroll).
  • Lead the preparation and review of equity-related disclosures for SEC filings, including footnotes and supporting documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within equity accounting workflows.

SEC Reporting & Workiva Support
  • Prepare and review assigned sections of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Own tie-out process for assigned areas, ensuring alignment between financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain and enhance Workiva processes, including roll forwards, document integrity, tagging support, and version control.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to improve reporting timelines and disclosure quality.

SOX 404 Compliance
  • Support and execute SOX 404 compliance activities, including documentation, testing, and evaluation of business process and IT-dependent controls.
  • Act as a key contact for assigned control areas during internal and external audits.
  • Identify control gaps and partner with stakeholders to design and implement remediation plans.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal control processes and documentation.

Corporate Insurance Support
  • Lead accounting and reporting support for annual corporate insurance renewals (e.g., D&O, EPLI, cyber, general liability), including data collection, schedule preparation, and coordination with brokers.
  • Maintain insurance documentation, policies, and certificates.
  • Support internal and external teams with international clinical trial placement and coverage
  • Support accounting for insurance premiums and related accruals.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred).
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; experience with ASC 718 and SEC reporting required.
  • Exposure to SOX 404 compliance and audit support.
  • Experience with Workiva or other SEC reporting tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate moderately complex issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $97,000.00-$133,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
