Job description

Job Summary:
AUSGAR Technologies, Inc. is an established Department of Defense contractor specializing in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, and Systems Engineering. They are seeking a Systems Administrator - Linux to support Navy’s Information Operations through Linux systems administration and AWS cloud infrastructure in secure environments.
Responsibilities:
• Must have a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert, i.e., Sec+ CE.
• Experience with installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and commercial software packages (COTS).
• Experience with effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
• Experience with performing daily system administration duties of backups, maintenance on applications and OS, patching, tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing VMware vCenter and ESXi environments including VM provisioning, host management, snapshots and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience administering Linux operating systems (RHEL/CentOS/).
• Experience supporting AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, IAM, VPC, S3 and security groups.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Windows Server Active Directory, group policy, user accounts and access and DNS services.
• Experience with basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems.
• Ability to recognize and clearly report relevant information.
• Previous experience within the U.S. Department of Defense highly desired.
• Expected travel up to 10%. One to two trips a year.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must have a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert, i.e., Sec+ CE.
• BS with focus in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems/Cybersecurity desired or related field and 5+ years’ experience as a Systems Administrator and 2+ years’ experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and commercial software packages (COTS).
• Experience with effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
• Experience with performing daily system administration duties of backups, maintenance on applications and OS, patching, tuning and troubleshooting.
