Our School-St. Benedict Catholic School is a Preschool - Grade 8 Catholic school located in North Seattle, just south of Greenlake. It is our goal to educate the whole child, providing high quality academic instruction in the context of a loving and vibrant Catholic community.
As our mission states: St Benedict Catholic School nurtures the individual, fosters intellectual curiosity, encourages spiritual and personal growth, supports loving relationships, and promotes caring service to the community.
The school is unique to North Seattle because of its enrollment (currently 180 students), low class sizes (17 student average), and diverse student population. The school currently employs 11 classroom teachers, 10 specialist teachers, and 4 instructional aides.
The Position- St. Benedict Catholic School is seeking candidates to serve as our Prekindergarten (four-year-old) classroom teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part time position teaching class during a morning session (8:00 - 1:00).
Qualifications- Applicants must exhibit an ability to foster social and academic growth in their classroom, care and concern for their students, superior classroom management skills, and enthusiasm for learning. The ideal candidate is someone who have previously worked in an elementary school setting or in preschool program with an academic focus.
Candidates should also be prepared to join a dynamic staff that works cooperatively toward the betterment of the school community.
Preference will be given to candidates who are practicing Catholics.
St. Benedict School's Early Learning Programs are licensed through DEL and candidates must have or be prepared to complete all the necessary requirements with the State of Washington.
Salary: ($30,000 - $60,000)
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
Benefits: This is a non-benefited, part time position.
