Under general supervision, will perform grounds keeping and custodial duties for County facilities, parks and recreation fields. Custodial duties consist of maintaining clean parks, shop areas, bathrooms and offices. Examples of Duties Landscaping duties include mowing grass, trimming, edging, raking, leveling dirt, weed control, planting shrubbery, picking up trash.
Custodial duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restroom facilities, dusting, emptying trash. Performs other related work as required. Typical Qualifications Ability to operate tractors, mowers and other grounds equipment.
Must have a valid driver's license. Supplemental Information Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including tractor, truck, mowers (riding and push), blower, edger, chain saw, various and other grounds-keeping tools. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Criminal Records check, drug screen, and references will be required for the successful candidate. All applications will be considered but not necessarily interviewed.
