Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Snowbird is situated in the middle of the Wasatch Mountain Range and is not only home to awe-inspiring views and mighty terrain, it is also home to employees equally as remarkable. Snowbird is continually looking for the best, those who share a passion for these mountains and the outdoors. Snowbird is a unique resort with distinct summer and winter seasons and offers full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.

TITLE: Owner Association Accountant

LOCATION: Kimball Junction/Hybrid 3 days in office

STATUS: Salary, Full-time, Year-round

SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Owner Association Accountant owns all aspects of owner accounting functions including accounts receivable, revenue distribution, and account reconciliation. This role partners closely with Snowbird Resort Management and HOA Boards to maintain accurate financial records in accordance with local law and governing documents.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Oversee condo owner accounting including invoicing, income distribution, payment processing, property taxes, delinquency notices, lien filing, foreclosure processing, and tax filing
  • Work with Owner Services and Property Managers to properly account for all owner transactions
  • Perform monthly close entries and reconciliations
  • Occasional travel to/from Snowbird Resort and Salt Lake County Recorder
  • Frequent interaction with owners, guests, and internal departments
  • Maintain professional relationships and communication across all teams

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or two years of college required
  • Accounting/Finance degree preferred; experience may substitute
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office and office equipment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience working with system integrations and data flow between accounting/property systems preferred
  • Detail-oriented with ability to explain financial concepts clearly
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to resolve owner accounting and collection issues
  • Time Share Experience preferred

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Monday - Friday
  • 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Hybrid (3 days in office)
  • Some evenings and weekends as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office-based role with standard physical requirements
  • Periods of high volume and tight deadlines, particularly during seasonal peaks
  • Occasional local travel required
