Job description

Warehouse Worker / Cover Driver

Looking for a role that offers variety and the opportunity to grow your skills? In this dual-role position, you will be trained to perform both warehouse and cover driver responsibilities. Warehouse work will serve as your primary assignment, with opportunities to work as a cover driver.

Your day-to-day assignment will vary based on business needs such as package volume, staffing needs, and seasonal demand. You may rotate between warehouse and driving duties throughout the year—sometimes week to week, and other times spending extended periods in one role before transitioning to the other.

Warehouse Worker Responsibilities

  • Typically work 3.5 to 5 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
  • Load and unload packages from UPS trailers and iconic brown package cars (vehicles)
  • Sort, move, and handle packages in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Report for your assigned warehouse shift when not scheduled as a Cover Driver

Cover Driver (TCD) Responsibilities

  • Typically work 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
  • Safely operate UPS package delivery vehicles
  • Deliver and pick up packages while providing excellent customer service
  • Work independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment and in and out of customer locations
  • Meet all UPS driver qualification standards and requirements
