Job description

As a Graphic Designer at Winmark, you will help bring our family of resale brands (Once Upon A Child®, Plato’s Closet®, Play It Again Sports®, Music Go Round® and Style Encore®) to life through high-quality, scalable creative assets that support national campaigns, franchisee marketing, brand initiatives, and corporate communications.

This role is ideal for a hands-on designer who can move quickly across channels, adapt creative for both national and local use, and maintain consistency across multiple retail brands. The right candidate will help Winmark build a faster, more consistent, and more scalable creative engine that supports our franchise system and strengthens our position as a leader in resale.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Development & Production

  • Design marketing materials for digital, social, email, web, print, in-store, and presentation needs.
  • Create campaign assets for seasonal promotions, events, brand initiatives, and franchisee marketing.
  • Develop creative concepts that align with brand standards, campaign objectives, and business goals.
  • Maintain consistency across all Winmark brands while supporting each brand’s unique identity.
  • Prepare final files for print, digital, and platform-specific use.

Digital & Paid Media Support

  • Design and resize creative assets for paid media, social platforms, email, websites, landing pages, and other digital placements.
  • Create multiple versions of assets for seasonal messaging, audience-specific needs, offer overlays, and creative testing.
  • Build or edit HTML emails and digital marketing assets as needed.
  • Partner with brand and digital marketing teams to adjust creative based on campaign needs and performance learnings.
  • Ensure designs follow responsive design and accessibility best practices.

Franchise & Brand Support

  • Build and maintain editable templates for social media, email, flyers, signage, direct mail, digital ads, presentations, and point-of-sale collateral.
  • Develop franchise-ready creative assets that are easy to access, customize, and execute.
  • Help maintain organized creative templates and asset libraries within the digital asset platform.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and campaign planning sessions.

Video & Motion Content

  • Edit short-form video content for social media, advertising, conferences, and internal communications.
  • Create light motion graphics, text overlays, captions, end cards, and platform-specific video cutdowns.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to produce engaging multimedia content

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in an in-house marketing team, agency, retail, franchise, multi-location, or consumer brand environment.
  • Strong portfolio showing digital, social, email, paid media, web, print, and campaign work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience creating designs for social media, paid digital media, email, and responsive web platforms.
  • Strong typography, layout, visual storytelling, brand consistency, and production skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prepare final files for print, digital, and platform-specific use.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and feedback rounds in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience supporting franchise, retail, multi-location, or local store marketing.
  • Working knowledge of HTML email design and email best practices.
  • Video editing, or motion graphics experience.
  • Experience with digital asset management systems.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation, social media management, and digital advertising platforms.
