V2X is hiring! We are looking for a process tech 4  (2nd shift) to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana.


Responsibilities

Performs a variety of tasks related to the Manufacturing assembly and production process. This position requires technical expertise in process excectuion, troubleshooting, optimization and compliance within a high reliability AS9100 environment. 

  • Perform function tests of production units: Running MPT's amd ATP's on assembled units.
  • Trouble shooting: Be able to use a wide range of tools to diagnose and verify issues within component level operations. 
  • Work with Engineering: Work along side engineering to develope and prove out tests for new designs.
  • Follow and understand the data: Be able to understand what is being tested and what they feedback from the tests are. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows detailed written and verbal instructions, process routings, wiring diagrams, and production planning documents.
  • Operate test stands, test equipment and hand tools for testing.
  • Conducts in-process self-checks and prepares assemblies for formal inspection.
  • May assist with conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, and other intermediate assembly tasks.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows safety procedures.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret process routings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Proficient in DC/ AC and RF 
  • Knowledge of electronic component identification and handling.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, J-STD-001) is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and data collection for Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in electronic assembly, rework, and repair is preferred.

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good eyesight and color vision.
  • May require sitting, standing, kneeling, or squatting for extended periods.
  • May be exposed to solvents, flux, thinners, and other cleaning compounds.
  • May require the use of visual aids (magnification lenses, microscopes) and personal safety equipment.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required.
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain appropriate solder certifications.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
