Job description

Job Description The Concessions Attendant reports directly to the Clubhouse Supervisor and has the responsibility of providing customers with friendly, prompt, complete and efficient food and beverage service on the golf course and in the clubhouse, meeting all of the golfers needs within specified standards. Provides a convenient method for customers to obtain food and beverage items while out on the course and in the clubhouse in a prompt, efficient and professional manner. The Concessions Attendant will be required to work extended shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Prepares and serves food and beverage items to guests while on the course and in the clubhouse. Stocks and cleans beverage cart throughout scheduled shift. Assists with inventory of merchandise, food, beverage, etc.

Confirms beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course. Operates beverage cart and distributes beverages and/or food according to generally accepted golf course etiquette. Distributes beverages and/or food on the golf course according to applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.

Keeps apprised of events and club activities schedules at the course. Records all financial transactions accurately and according to all established policies and procedures. Utilize G1 Point of Sales system and may be required to create daily sales reports.

Maintains and keeps all working areas attractive, neat and clean performing general cleaning, including but not limited to restocking bathrooms; dusting displays; cleaning tables; vacuuming clubhouse floors; emptying trash receptacles; cleaning outside entrances, etc. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Assists with various responsibilities during tournament and/or outings to ensure customers' needs are met. Provide back-up to Clubhouse Attendant's staff responsibilities as required.

Attends staff meetings as required. Performs other duties as required. Typical Qualifications TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1+ year's prior experience in beverage/food service including the ability to safely prepare food. Demonstrated experience, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills Knowledge of the golf industry and/or food and beverage industry, course etiquette and rules. Possession of or ability to obtain a Wisconsin Responsible Server certificate with in first week of employment.

Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws. Possession of or the ability to obtain a Serv-Safe Certification for snack bar and concession operations. Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy, sometimes stressful times.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and evenings with a positive, enthusiastic outlook. Strong listening and oral communication skills. Knowledge and ability to adhere to quality standards for safety, sanitation and food handling.

Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Word, Excel and other software programs. Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions. Must be organized, efficient and detail-oriented.

Must be fiscally responsible and able to accurately execute and maintain financial transactions and records. Must have skill to exercise good independent judgment in assessing situations and making decisions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow staff members and the public in a courteous and tactful manner.

Ability to work in a safe manner. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, stoop, and climb.

Possession of and ability to maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license. Supplemental Information Must be a minimum of 18 years of age (serving alcohol) Work Location: Reid Golf Course Pay Grade 1 - Attendant/Grounds Personnel
