Seasonal Scale Operator information

What is a seasonal scale operator?

Seasonal Scale Operators are workers responsible for operating weighing scales at facilities such as grain elevators, recycling centers, or agricultural processing plants during peak seasons. Their main duties include weighing incoming and outgoing vehicles or products, recording weights, ensuring accuracy, and sometimes managing basic paperwork. These roles are often temporary and align with busy periods like harvest seasons. Attention to detail, basic computer skills, and strong customer service abilities are important for success in this position.

To thrive as a Seasonal Scale Operator, you need attention to detail, basic math skills, and familiarity with agricultural or industrial weighing processes, typically supported by a high school diploma or equivalent.
