Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse (Float) to support a community vaccination initiative. In this patient-facing role, you will administer a variety of vaccines while providing exceptional patient care across assigned clinic locations as needed.

The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, customer-focused, and committed to promoting public health through safe, accurate, and efficient immunization services.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer vaccines including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis A & B, Tdap, Shingles, Pneumococcal, HPV, RSV, and other recommended immunizations.
  • Perform patient assessments prior to vaccination and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all immunizations in accordance with clinical and regulatory guidelines.
  • Follow infection prevention and safety protocols while utilizing provided PPE.
  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Adapt to changing schedules, patient volumes, and operational needs.
  • Float between assigned locations as required to support vaccination efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization or vaccination experience.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical skills in medication administration and vaccine delivery.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in immunization clinics, retail healthcare, outpatient settings, or community health.
  • Experience working in float or multi-site healthcare assignments.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work locations and schedules.

  • Onsite, patient-facing healthcare setting.
  • PPE provided.
  • Fast-paced clinical environment with direct patient interaction.
  • Travel between assigned clinic locations may be required.
