Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze high-efficiency DC/DC converters, switching regulators, and power switching circuits incorporating GaN FETs and other advanced semiconductor technologies.
  • Perform detailed circuit analysis including worst-case, stability, and thermal assessments to ensure compliance with mission requirements.
  • Create schematics and documentation using the OrCAD tool suite and manage PCB layout and design reviews in collaboration with layout engineers.
  • Support component selection suitable for space applications, including derating, radiation tolerance, and reliability considerations.
  • Generate and maintain design documentation, analyses, and review data packages for internal and customer reviews
  • Support hardware bring-up and validation testing and support integration with spacecraft electrical power and avionics subsystems.
  • Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and test engineering to ensure design maturity and production readiness.

Ideal Experience
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing electronic circuits using industry ECAD design tools.
  • Experience with analog circuit design, including isolated and non-isolated switched-mode power supply (SMPS) using discrete components; common and differential mode power filtering; active filter and amplifier design; high-side FET drives with monolithic or discrete solutions; and GaN FET experience.
