Job description

Overview
Starting pay up to $16/hr. (dependent on skills and experience)
Weekly pay and overtime opportunity during harvest
401K w/employer match, paid sick leave and paid holidays
IMPORTANT NOTE: This role is currently being offered as a seasonal position not expected to exceed four months' duration, though there is strong potential to convert to year-round employment based on performance and business needs.
This is an entry level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, and rail (location specific).
  • Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning
  • Assists in basic maintenance
  • Compliance with all the Company's safety programs and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • One (1) year of grain industry experience is preferred.

Skills
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
  • Ability to work in a quality-controlled environment.

Physical Requirments
  • Regularly walk, bend and stoop.
  • Regularly required to walk on catwalks at a variety of heights; up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
  • Regularly climbs stairs and ladders.
  • Regularly lifts up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly enters and works in confined spaces.
